Hey, Hi, Hello!
Welcome! I'm Ashley.
I live in the desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I share a home with my husband, Jim, and our two boxers, Ludo and Freddie Mercury.
I'm an artist and a camera is my weapon of choice.
I was raised in Southern California (Glendora, to be exact) where access to tons of live music sparked my passion for taking pictures. Spending all my money on rides and tickets to concerts, I literally got a high off of being in a big, sweaty crowd, fighting my way to the barricade, screaming along with the band and taking pictures with my friend's point-and-shoot camera. (Don't let this frighten you, potential client. I have since upped my camera game). At nineteen, my family and I moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico. Four years later, I was presented with the opportunity to travel the country with the Vans Warped Tour 2010. It was while on this adventure that my love for documentary photography blossomed--so much so that a few of my photos were published in Alternative Press Magazine, a music publication I frequently perused throughout most of my adolescent years.
But alas, not every moment of every day is a live concert. So during the in-between times I thoroughly enjoy portrait photography. As far as my work goes, I strive to convey the realness of a moment while still maintaining my artistic style. My portrait sessions are genuine and fun with the end result being emotional images that tell a story.
So let's be real. Trust me to tell your story.
Because I want to capture it honestly & beautifully.
